Individual Therapy in Burlington, VT

Telehealth therapy for individuals, available throughout Vermont

Therapy is one of the few places where you can bring the full, complicated, sometimes messy truth of being you, and have someone meet you there without flinching.

Maybe you've been carrying something for a while. Maybe you're in the middle of a transition that's harder than you expected, or stuck in a pattern you can't seem to break, or sitting with a feeling you can't quite name.

You don't have to have it figured out before you reach out.

What individual therapy with me looks like

My approach comes down to three things: curiosity, courage, and connection. Yours and mine.

I ask a lot of questions, because I'm genuinely interested in your specific situation, not just the label that might come with it. I work alongside you rather than handing down advice. We look at what's working, what isn't, what you've tried, and what you haven't. Some of it is hard. Some of it is even a little funny. The point is for you to leave with something real.

    • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

    • Somatic methods

    • Compassion-focused and strengths-based work.

If that list doesn't mean much to you, that's completely fine. All it really means in practice is that we start with you and work from there.

    • Anxiety and panic

    • Depression and low mood

    • Trauma and PTSD

    • Substance use and recovery

    • Grief and loss

    • Life transitions

    • Stress and burnout

    • OCD

    • Self-esteem and identity

    • Relationship concerns

  • Therapy with me is active. The people who get the most out of it are the ones willing to get curious about themselves, even about the parts that are uncomfortable to look at. You don't need answers going in. You just need enough willingness to dig in alongside me, and I'll bring the rest.
